Cathryn Davidson, L.Ac is a dedicated practitioner who loves working in the realm of Women’s Health, Fertility, and Obstetrics. She loves helping women feel their best before, during and after pregnancy. Cathryn discovered her love of healing early on when, in middle school, she happened upon several books on herbology and aromatherapy. Quickly obsessed, she began dispensing herbal advice to her classmates, and passed on summer school to attend herbal lectures and seminars. From the beginning, she has loved to listen with open mind and open heart to people’s troubles, both physical and emotional.
Cathryn was first introduced to Chinese Medicine when she experienced the magic of acupuncture to relieve pain from a dancing injury. During her undergraduate studies, she completed several courses, including advanced individual studies, on Classical Five Element Acupuncture and energetic herbal healing work. Eventually, her passion for healing brought her to Santa Cruz where she studied at Five Branches University. Her clinical experiences led her to focusing on women’s health, especially cycle irregularities and fertility, endocrinology, and obstetrics. Cathryn became especially fond of treating pregnant women after experiencing common issues during her own pregnancy that were able to be treated effectively through acupuncture. She hopes to help many women discover how helpful acupuncture can be for morning sickness, back, hip, and neck pain, headaches, swelling, and the general discomfort that often sets in during the third trimester. She has completed over 120 hours of specialization training in fertility and obstetrics through the Five Branches Doctoral program, where she is currently completing her Doctorate degree.
