Karina Garcia, CMT
Deep tissue massage, massage + integrated stretching, Swedish massage
Karina Garcia, CMT is a compassionate and thoughtful massage therapist with a strong foundation in both rehabilitation science and hands-on bodywork. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Science from San Jose State University, and went on to work for three years as a physical therapy aide at an outpatient clinic in San Diego — experience that gave her a deep, clinical understanding of body mechanics, movement, and pain patterns.
Originally drawn toward physical therapy, Karina found that massage therapy allowed her to slow down, work one-on-one, and build meaningful therapeutic relationships with her clients. She went on to earn her Massage Therapy Certification from the National Holistic Institute and further expanded her expertise as a Lead Flexologist at StretchLab, where she developed a strong proficiency in assisted stretching and mobility work.
Her approach is gentle, precise, and intentional — accessing areas of tension effectively without unnecessary discomfort. She often incorporates stretching and focused neuromuscular techniques to support mobility, ease, and long-term change. Karina especially enjoys working with older adults, supporting longevity, comfort, and ease of movement through consistent, thoughtful care.
Growing up playing softball and volleyball, Karina developed a deep love for health and wellness early on and that passion continues to drive her work today. She is committed to ongoing education, including continuing studies in pain management, and approaches every session with care, curiosity, and genuine respect for each client’s individual goals.
